A murder mystery dinner is not only a great
night's entertainment that can be hosted in
restaurants, hotels, boats, cruises, stately homes and castles but it is the
ideal fun entertainment attraction for a fundraising dinner or activity.
Murder mysteries are an interactive clue game,
where you the guests become the detectives in a murder and must figure out
who among the suspects has committed the unspeakable crime. Every suspect
in the murder mystery game has a motive and the means but during the three
course murder mystery meal, everyone tries to find out who is the murderer,
while the murderer tries to avoid detection. You must use your sleuthing
skills to find the real villain.
Pick a murder mystery format that involves
tables of detectives who attempt to solve a deadly whodunnit? The challenge
is to answer three questions:
Who committed the murder [ Murderer ] How [
Method ] Why [ Motive ]
It should begin with a pre-dinner drinks
reception whereby the characters meet and greet your guests, setting the
scene. Once all your guests have arrived, they will be seated for dinner.
Guests will be seated into equal tables but
would suggest no larger than groups of 10 for dinner, as any larger becomes
crowd control. Each table are invited to play the inter-active part of
detectives and working together over dinner, they will try to solve the
crime.
The audience will witnesses scripted scenes
featuring events that took place before the murder was committed and these
scenes introduce the audience to the victim, the suspects and present many
vital clues.
The members of the audience meet each of the
suspects and the victim, as they join them at their tables during dinner
and desert, for INTERROGATION. The purpose of this is that the suspects and
victim will be marking the guest detectives on their performance as a team
of super sleuths.
To conclude the event there will be a
presentation of the audience’s dénouement and a performance of the
dastardly deed itself. The declared winners will be the detective team who
solves the dastardly deed by correctly answering the 3 'M's and scoring the
most points. Certificates are then awarded for the 'Super Sleuths' [Winning
Team] and to the 'Most Defective Detectives' [Losing Team].
This is an absolutely must to consider for a
fundraising dinner or activity by corporate companies, charitable
organisations, Masonic lodges and rotary clubs, as you can raise funds from
a percentage of the tickets, run a silent auction, and have photographs
taken as a memento of the event which you can sell.
